In 2019, Corey was excited to have her first child. After a difficult pregnancy, her water broke 9 weeks early, and 2 days later she had her first daughter, Harper, by emergency C-section. Within 24 hours, Harper was flown to CHOP, where she stayed for 11 months after receiving a tracheostomy and g-tube. Harper's diagnosis of Miller-Dieker syndrome (a very rare, de novo (random) genetic condition), threw Corey and her family into a new world filled with the highest highs, lowest lows, and a sea of unknowns. This beautiful life in technicolor gray.
